KENNEBUNK & KENNEBUNKPORT
DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE

Your Voice -- Your Choice

Thanks for Visiting Us!
What We Represent

The Kennebunk &  Kennebunkport Democratic Committee is dedicated to electing Democrats and representing Democratic ideals and principles in our communities. We represent the ideals of equality, inclusion, fairness, and democracy. We treat our world and its people with honor, respect, and dignity. We believe in outreach and community service for the benefit of all without regard to party affiliation. We are your voice and your choice. Please share this site with others and contact us if you have information you wish to share.

Meetings

The town committees meet jointly as scheduled, either at the Kennebunk Town Hall on Thursday evenings, or at the Kennebunkport Fire Station on North Street on Saturday mornings. During election years or years in which there are issues of concern, we attempt to meet monthly. During non-election years, we meet as needed.

Community Outreach

We encourage members to post charitable news and requests in order that our members may assist. Some charitable organizations we have supported directly through donations or through sponsorship in walks/runs include:

York County Shelters - (provides food and shelter to needy families) contact Joan Sylvester at joans@ycspi.org or 324-1137

Caring Unlimited - (provides assistance to those affected by domestic violence) contact Emily Flowers at eflowers@caring-unlimited.org or 490-3227 x 107.

Dem Corps - (provides fuel oil to needy families and scholarships to graduates) contact Al Sicard at alsicard@demcorps.org or 841-8493.

Treasury

The Kennebunk and Kennebunkport Democratic Town Committee have one treasury for handling revenues and expenses. Each town files Federal Election Commission (FEC) and State Ethics Commission forms as required. Treasurer's reports are presented at each meeting for discussion and approval. All expenditures are pre-approved.
